but i never get sick.. it's thanksgiving..
.. i really don't. get sick. usually. and today - i even stayed home. on the couch. with my tea and a running nose. that's how sick i am. great. happy thanksgiving to me. i guess i just wanted a day off like you guys over there or something. i should start at the start though. i did write an entry last night before i went home and then my boss wanted me to do something for him (what was he thinking?) when i hit the wrong button and lost the entry. i hate when that happens and i usually copy the things i wrote into the internal cache every few minutes which of course i didn't do this time. and i really didn't feel like writing it all again last night because i just wanted the day to be over so i could go home..

anyway, i was going on about how cool my new phone (in black) is. i have a color-display, radio and a camera in my cellphone now (plus about a gazillion other things i totally don't know how to use and probably never need, but..) anyhow, i got it for 9,95 euro because i extended my contract. i also got a cool messenger bag, 3 x 100 short messages for free and a 5 euro balance for phone calls to start with every month for the next two years. considering the fact that i only pay 9,95 euro/month basic fee i think this is a pretty nice deal ;o) also, it's a tri-band which i can use in the US and maren (ute's friend i just met last weekend) gave me her t-mobile card from illinois for my trip so i'm gonna use that while i'm there. if i'd use my german number it would be a lot more expensive and with the illinois number it'll be cheap for my friends to call me while we're on the road. AND - i can take pictures now and send them via email. i'm such a geek and i totally think that's pretty fascinating!

so this is me yesterday at work where i really didn't work after i picked up the phone during my lunch break around 1 p.m. happy camper (with a stuffed nose and a sore throat - but you can't see that on the picture..) ;o)

now that's me today on the couch not all that happy but stuffed up, with a slight fever, no make-up, glasses, boxes of kleenex and my bed covers..

and that's the cat on top of me on the couch today. too bad she can't make me tea or papmer me. instead, she wants to eat and play and cuddle - WTF cat, i'm sick..

also, chris had another injection yesterday. i think he had an appointment at 7 a.m. so i'm sure he didn't sleep at all after work since he usually doesn't get back until 4.30 or so. i haven't heard from him yet but i guess he's catching up on the sleep-thing and hopefully recuperating. good thing he has a couple days off now. the last time he went back to work the next day.. i just hope he won't be too sore so he can still enjoy the holiday-weekend. his sister is coming from long beach and i'm sure it'll be really great. i wish i could be there with them. 16 days.. no news about the new year's plans or anything else. i'm off back to the couch. *sniff* HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you all ;o)
