ouch ... autsch .... AU!
yesterday afternoon i went to the post office to send a few things for banane. now, first of all i had to go to a different office, because our regular one here at the train station was closed (some sort of meeting ..). i found another one (tiny) and started to take stuff in. one was a special mailing that i had already stamped with a programm we have at work where they take the money right from your account. and it took them - i'm not exaggerating here - 35 minutes to figure out how to put the delivery into their system ... but, what i was gonna tell you as well is that the horror-vision ever since i started here at banane packing parcels every three months and lifting things around, came true yesterday at that post office. while lifting up a heavy package from the trunk of the car to bring it inside, i slipped and ... ripped off half the fingernail off my right middle finger. ouch! i'm telling you. so now i am wearing two bandaids on that finger (one over the top and one around the finger to secure the first one) and it looks like i gigantic fingertip. plus - it hurts. not horribly, but it hurts ... it's throbbing ... oh well, i'm sure i'll survive. but it'll take forever to grow out. i mean it's been ripped off at least 3-4 mm into the perionychium. i thought i'd share that with you people. thanks for »listening« ;o)
